Zemlin Photo Lens Cap for Nikon Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S Lens (Orange Ring)

Another highly recommended third-party accessory for the Nikon Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S lens is this Zemlin Photo lens cap. While the factory Nikon LC-K106 front lens cap got the job done, I found it more cumbersome than a traditional lens cap.

I like to keep the lens hood on the lens in the reversed position when transporting, and this Zemlin Photo cap works perfectly with the hood attached in reverse.

The lens cap is made from 3D-printed, fiberglass-reinforced plastic, with skid-pad grips on the front. It has a textured finish that improves grip and makes the pinch-style release easy to use.

Excellent quality and fit.

I only recommend equipment that’s proven itself through early mornings, challenging weather, and my tendency to wander off trail for “just one more shot.”
