Henjar Photo Replacement Foot: Nikon Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S
Nikon lens feet never seem to be field-worthy. For starters, they are too small. When working with a large lens, I want the lens foot to act as a carry handle. They are also not Arca-Swiss compatible, so a replacement becomes necessary if you want to mount the lens to a fluid tripod head or gimbal head.
My first impression after holding this replacement foot was that it was of high quality. It feels solid in the hand and securely mounts to the lens. There is adequate space between the lens and foot to use as a carry handle when mounted, without crowding my hand. The length is also lovely, extending past the grip of my hand and giving me a firm hold without feeling short.
It has worked flawlessly with all my Arca-Swiss quick-release plates and really feels secure when mounted. Having two quick-detach sockets was the right call for this-sized lens. I can carry it with two QDs and a sling with comfort and a sense of security, without worrying about detachment.
I give this replacement foot a 10 out of 10.
